Based in sunny Singapore, Yuan Artisan was founded out of our love for traditional Asian fashion and appreciation for high-quality artisanal craftsmanship. All our pieces are exclusively designed in-house and skilfully handmade by our artisans.

Our Heart

At the heart of Yuan Artisan is the mission to support and empower the community of women who sew for a living.

We are passionate about providing fair wages and opportunities to generate income. Starting in Vietnam, we are committed to expanding our support to other communities in different countries, and locally in Singapore. Our hope is to create a ripple effect of positive change and uplift the seamstresses in their work. Through our brand, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these women.

Our Name

源 (yuan) is a carefully selected word which we thought best represents the core of our brand. In Chinese, it means origin. To us at Yuan Artisan, it signifies the act of going back to our origins, our roots, our heritage.

We want to go back to our Asian origins (源) and redefine traditional fashion with a contemporary approach. In our efforts to preserve heritage, we creatively design clothes to incorporate traditional elements, not forgetting to include the practicality and versatility elements for daily wear.

Our Artisanal Approach

We believe in taking our time to create designs that truly stand out. Each piece is carefully crafted by our artisans and undergoes a meticulous sampling process to ensure that it meets our high standards of quality and design.

While it may take us months to release a new collection, every design we release is a statement piece that reflects our passion for thoughtful and sustainable fashion. We believe that by investing in our slow fashion approach, we are able to create pieces that truly resonate with our customers and stand the test of time.
